@wokeupnew I mean, this is only their 3rd album since 2011, and their 2015 album was pretty good.

Jamie XX in a headlining slot sounds too good to be real. Maybe Romy and Oliver show up to do vocals on some of his tracks and/or some of their own tracks that he produced from their recent solo albums.

I feel like the whole world accepted P!nk’s lane-change from R&B to pop without batting an eye, and I’m still stuck comparing every new song she releases to “Most Girls” and “There You Go” and not understanding how she’s so much more popular now. She has a great voice though, and I’m sure her...

She has now convinced herself that she was using “a new recipe that called for the mashed potatoes to be put on the bottom of the bowl.” She has indefinitely suspended her search for the mythical recipe.

This woman has physical copies of 4 decades worth of multiple cooking magazines and at least a hundred cookbooks, all heavily annotated, dog-eared, and flagged. Finding this recipe will not be easy.

She just found a recipe in magazine for chicken and mushroom pot pie but we looked through the ingredients and there are no potatoes on the list. I wish I could fully convey how hilarious this all is.

She’s now telling me to stop laughing and saying “i bet i’ll find the recipe”

She has like 5 cookbooks on the table right now searching for the recipe and has triangulated the date of the original dinner was Nov 22nd.

She cannot locate that recipe though lol.

This is all only really funny because my mom is an amazing cook and her passion and hobby is trying out new recipes. She’s now remembering who she had over for dinner that night and seems to think maybe it was a different recipe that she used that called for the potatoes to be in the pot pies.

Anyway, 2024 is off to a thrilling start.

And now she’s quizzing my dad about it because he had one tonight which also clearly was filled with mashed potatoes (we’re talking like, the main ingredient here is mashed potatoes in these pies). And he has no memory of whether the pies at the original dinner also had mashed potatoes in them.
