A bit of a flyer for me, Andrew Hill’s “A Beautiful Day, Revisited” is a live recording at Birdland in 2002. Marked down to $30 and had another 30% off coupon (in California) put this about half off the list price at $21.

Couple of the newer Tone Poets marked down to $31 and then with an added 30% off clip coupon here in California gets them down to $22 before tax.

I had told myself that I was going to go the way of solid state again and not buy any replacement tubes, yet here I am… in the band aid stage after blowing one this morning.
That said, I’d like to get my sights back in and not opposed to doing separates or the integrated solid state route...
It was - charged $32 and $6 shipping this go round. I did mention that it was on sale when I called since the clerk immediately suggested that I order it myself through the .com.
Forgot about this and remembered today to call for the deal. I think I’m out now, been an interesting mix of folks helping at Barnes through these purchases - truly a YMMV result.
Took a punt with some remaining credit I had left for the mystery anthology 2 pack and wound up with Bar-Kays “Soul Finger” and Odetta “My Eyes Have Seen”.
I’ve somehow Frankenstein’d my way to 6 of the 8 in the Stax set.
Also, bless to VMP for shipping that separately from the “bundled” ROTM...

Not the Blue Point but I do have the Songbird that I’ve been pretty happy with for nearly a year now. I’ve been told that it’s a bit bright for some but I don’t think I’ve experienced that.
Chiming in that I also did the deed for the Revolver box set at Barnes tonight and also got the $59 ring up.
Reserving it and paying at the store was for sure the move, no fuss there. Sounded like word had started to go around since the person who rung me up said someone recently came in to buy 2.
I’m back in business now with a near gearbox installed. Little quirks, maybe, I feel like the sound of the rotation is a little different now and on my second plug in it didn’t fire on immediately.
I’ll say, replacing the gearbox itself was super easy. However, getting the right sized tool to...
New gearbox is incoming so will try my hand there once it lands. Support crew was super responsive and came out to about $25 with shipping for the part.
