I’ve had a similar road trip experience, but it involved Meat Loaf. That’s why I hate Meat Loaf.

Not a road trip, but in high school, I had to do a choreographed dance routine to Cher Lloyd's "Want U Back". I am soooo glad that song hasn't had any sort of staying power because I'd probably have a mini-breakdown every time I hear it.

If something an artist said or did rubbed you the wrong way, or you dislike an artist by association, then that's well within your right to not like them. But personally I wouldn't want someone who can't look past their own personal biases and experiences to have a position of influence curating albums for a wide audience.

I really want VMP to do more hip-hop exclusives! And it would be great if VMP did Pop or R&B exclusives, a bit like with Urban Outfitters!!!

It’s so boring with those exclusives that Secretly Store do, like Angel Olsen, Whitney, Alex Cameron, Shura, Faye Webster etc

Apart from Mariah Carey’s ‘Daydream’, I feel like the last two or three months have been bland in what VMP have been releasing as exclusives as well as the Essentials picks and even the recent R&HH picks (Method Man’s Tical and Knxwledge’s Hud Dreems) have been meh in comparison.

I’m hoping we get less Secretly Society exclusives and we get a more unique variety! I love VMP but im honestly more excited at the moment at what Urban Outfitters have upcoming as exclusives. Especially if they are releasing some classic gems by Destiny’s Child, Britney Spears, Pussycat Dolls etc

Also, just the fact that we haven’t even gotten that surprise ROTM yet makes me go 🤷‍♂️

What do you mean by "a bit"? I am not following the VMP threads so I can't help you. VMP is dead to me.

I would recommend to join the N&G AOTM thread where our friend @Teeeee is doing a great job in getting us lost only to reveal at the end of the month that it's a Paula Abdul record.

Jokes aside, where are you now?

Well, VMP are still good in terms of what they are releasing but I’m not digging their exclusives as much. And I’m not hugely impressed by their last few R&HH ROTM pick. They haven’t been as thrilling.

I love teeeee’s thread so much! It’s my favourite thread on this forum at the moment. I’m just waiting for another clue! Still too many possibilities 😅

I’m home now. Arrived yesterday. It’s really cold but it feels good to be back. It was so overwhelming seeing all my vinyl. Haven’t even played a record yet, just been lazying around and seeing friends.

I’m doing my tax return on Tuesday. I hope I get heaps of money so I can go travelling for a month or so in a few weeks time! But I really want to move into the inner city so I might invest into moving out of home and eat really well and continue getting a personal trainer lol

Miss you so much Skalap! I’m only saying that because VMP is dead to you and that you don’t really care about the VMP threads anymore.
