While I definitely love all the skits on that album, they certainly aren't ideal for the vinyl listening experience. But the first 2/3 of that album is so damn good IMO, I'll excuse it.

dang, I hate getting damaged jackets. My recent box apparently got kicked around by USPS. All three in there (Yusef, Van Ronk, The Game) arrived with smashed corners, dented spines and Yusef's spine had a split through it. I emailed CS for new sleeves and waiting to hear back as well. Normally I can live with some of these but if we are paying a premium price, we should be picky and expect to receive items that are mint or pretty close to it.

i'm sure they will make it right. CS is working through the holiday slog apparently still.
 
I know this often becomes a VMP bash-athon, but god damn I have had a bad run from them when it comes to warps recently. In the past 3-4months, every record I received has had a warp of varying severity. Hopefully having their own plant will help going forward, but with the price jump I might not be around to see the results...

Yeah, this will likely be headed over there depending on whether they send replacement new jacket or a new whole album. My shipping notices for the replacement doesn’t reference “jacket only” like som of my previous replacements so we shall see.

still boggles my mind that they have no uniform response to something like this. i got offered a $15 store credit or a brand new full replacement. they said they had no replacement jackets only available. i took the full replacement since I figured I'd PIF the dented jacket copy. vinyl is totally fine on it.

Yeah, I almost have a form letter set up for when I email them. I make sure to say aI don’t want store credit and ask they send a replacement. I don’t specify jacket or album because I am fine either way, jacket only means it likely show up in great shape and if it’s a full LP I can PIF it. Win-Win.
