I actually listen to the two LP version of a hero’s death yesterday.
It sounds good but I honestly don’t think it needs to be on two records. I can’t comment on the 1LP version.

I actually bought both the Midnight Blue and 2xLP of A Hero's Death. The 2xLP had a little deeper bass and better stereo separation. The Midnight blue sounded very good though. In the end I PIFed the blue and kept the 2xLP

I went with the red. Price difference and I know that I’ll probably be reluctant to ever want to listen to it if I need to get up every other song to flip.

I also had the pleasure of seeing the Lavender Country live show a few years back in a Milwaukee bar and it was hella fun. Really cool to see the some press/excitement about the new album.
