There’s another birthday today. I’m not a huge Elvis fan. The movies? Sucked. When he returned from serving the US in Germany? A few highlights. Mostly sucked. But the beginning? These recordings for Sun? His first LP for RCA? These were historic. Everyone who you love has Elvis to thank. Here’s an example. Nirvana. They loved The Beatles. The Beatles loved Elvis. What you love today has some Elvis in their DNA somewhere.
