The NBA Thread

Do you not like the idea of a potential Ben for McCollum trade? Not sure if it's even been offered...but especially if blazers added draft capital or any young players? You add shooting + shot creation. Defense becomes an issue...

I'd be hesitant to go after Sexton because A) he wants to get PAID this upcoming offseason and B) he supposedly hasn't been great in the locker room. I'd be a bit worried about him and Maxey but if you aren't all that convinced on Maxey then maybe it makes a bit more sense...

I'd also be curious what teams would offer lots of draft capital for Ben and how much would be "enough" for Morey? It's all been said before, but Ben is interesting because he seems to want to be the guy to be built around based on recent reports, yet I'm not sure what rebuilding team would want him right now? And on top of that, who would trade tons of draft capital for him unless they seem him as the missing piece to be a contender? Having trouble thinking what team he fits best on that would give up draft capital that would sway Morey...

If it was straight draft capital the only one I can think of is maybe OKC. I don't know enough about that team to understand if Simmons at all makes sense to build around but they have tons of draft capital I think?

they do have all of the draft capital, but no young players that Philly would want really or any way to easily match salaries. they are also hard-capped already somehow since they have that $26mil in buyout money for Kemba. Maybe a third team comes in to facilitate it but...the fit on other teams is just so strange especially for a guy you can't play in the 4th quarter of close games in the playoffs.

NBA fantasy peeps - ask me any scoring or settings related questions now!

Hidden / non apparent things:

-Max 3 acquisitions per week
-Rebounds are split into 2 categories - offensive and defensive. This is so we can rid ourselves of the worst category ever: turnovers. Note that in the draft lobby, espn usually doesn’t sort rebounds into 2 categories. Plan / prep / research accordingly
-You can trade draft picks if you want

1) @scotthilk - PAID
2) AK Murthy (non N&G friend) - PAID
3) @Jonathan Y
4) @TenderLovingKiller® - PAID
5) @jaycee - PAID
6) @CrazyDiamond84
7) @sahomerrocks
8) @Psymon
9) @Rip_City- PAID
10) @McGlam

Please Venmo your $20 league fee to AK Murthy - his Venmo is @wigglepuppy

Please PM me after you've done this so I can mark you as paid.. he will pay out the winner at the end of the season assuming he doesn't win (again..)

Any interest in making this an auction league or salary cap draft? Think it would level the playing field with the draft.
Hey man, it is too late for that at this point - I proposed it a week or so ago and didn't get much response (or got "nos").

Perhaps next year!
