Blossom Dearie - Blossom Time At Ronnie Scott's (Fontana, 1966 First UK Mono Pressing)
Today would have been Blossom Dearie's 97th birthday so it seems only right that I listen to some of her music. Vocal jazz isn't my preferred choice and I do find Blossom's voice to be sickly sweet at times, BUT there's no denying that she is captivating and her backing group are superb on this album. Ronnie Scott even makes an appearance at the beginning when he introduces her.

Grabbed another album from a japanese band I love.
Edit: Oh I also recommend this recent show they did(last year I think) they were freshly reunited and has all 4 original members(the drummer is not with them right now, but reunited for this show).
