I just checked out while I could. I emailed them to add it to a SS shipment and refund my shipping. I'd be surprised if they didn't .
Dead Oceans press release back then was really clear that it was an initial exclusive of 1500 to rough trade. That absolutely gives leeway to press more. I’ve been saying that since November lol

Fucking hell, had it in my cart with BullMoose, needed to reset my password but their email delivery system took ages to send me a reset email. I could have checked out as a guest and grabbed it but I didn't. Now it's sold out.

I'm really unhappy with Rough trade right now. They sold out and oversold of the initial black pressing, have been trying to find out a shipment date on that and silence but now they come out with a new variant?
The Spit exclusive just came back in stock. Just snagged one.

Right--but I read it that they would eventually press other colors, not just up the 1500 pressing to unlimited numbers and press more later. RSD does those "RSD first" exclusives which just means a regular black version comes out later, not that they press more of that exact pressing.
I mean it doesn't really matter to me but just seems weird.

Honestly I couldn’t care less. As you know I consider limited editions to be a super shitty concept as is. The less stuff with numbers on it and artificially limited pressings the better. But initially does mean initially, not forever.
Check your "local" record store...I was able to order the Mountain Blast version from my local.

I honestly don't Trust this anymore due to "Allocation".
They may order it, but not get it in. I have been burned by several releases that were heavily allocated that I pre-ordered that never came in.
True, but I'm definitely not getting it from Secretly or her official store, and it was a painless 30 seconds.

The official Phoebe store only had 500 of the Mountain Blast but it's the Indie exclusive and no way it's only out of /2000. Maybe the secretly society had 2000 to sell on there site or they meant the Spit variant? The ThreeFour Insta said several times it will be available in store and online at indies all over soon. We'll be seeing links all day today for this I have a feeling.

Yea--I'm glad more people are able to grab a copy if they want it! It's more the dodgy advertising of it...went back to look at the listing: Limited to 1500 copies worldwide, a Rough Trade shop exclusive.
I hate all the limited stuff too. I think all releases should have a regular black pressing that's widely available and then some limited one if people want somethin' special...trying to limit a popular release to 1,500 copies total is crazy.

Most indie stores that did make it available so far today online are now listing it as sold out.
Usually you don't see that unless it is limited / allocated in same way or another.

I'm assuming a lot of allocations will come up short and mine will likely be cancelled that I got on the accidental leak orders. If not I'll be happy to hook up someone who misses out. My original RT copy is fine.
It is a little interesting they are re-pressing the black, like the RT adverts were dodgy but also it felt obvious enough to me that it'd be issued again that I couldn't bring myself to trade it for a truly limited/pricy item since I didn't feel right ripping off someone. Oh well. Just hope a ton of folks can get it easily in the end.

There is a standard black pressing.
I had the option to choose between that and the mountain blast limited variant on Secretly Society.
