Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Wise words. First thing I was told in teaching college was ‘Never let anyone touch your pension’.

One of the best things about being nearly 50 is looking at my pension pot statement and planning on when I can stop working (hopefully 55) , that is something I would not have considered at 25 ! I am so glad for my company pension , as after 31 years of work it starts to wear thin ..and the thought of working til 68 would be awful

What's the consensus on the Woodstock set from those who got it (swap or otherwise) when met against the discounted price +20% off (though as I used it already it seems I can do it when signed out and just have to pay shipping)?

The good reception has me curious and saw on Discogs someone selling #8xx so seems they're getting through them. Is it just generally seen as being too much for the offering?

Also, for peace of mind as it's upcoming; query on swaps - can you add an extra track that month and then use that as a swap or do you have to use your base track for the swap and the additions just for if you want those particular records that month?

You can use any track for a swap. My main track is Classics and I'm usually swapping RHH (I keep about half of them).

As to Woodstock, if you're a fan of the music/classic rock, I'd say a far price for the set new would be between $100-150. I swapped for it and like it so far. Mine is number #960, the numbers are not sent sequentially.

Keep an eye out on reddit to ...people have bee. Posting them there for a lot less ...I wouldn’t pay more than 150 for it

Appreciate the responses both thank you, will keep an eye out for it moving forwards for within that range and interesting to know re: the numbers not being sequential 👍

Good to know on the swaps too, very useful and nice that there's that flexibility to simply add another track if there's a swap you want but like your current choice on the existing one.

damn, how do you get a brand to block you lol
When they shut down the forum, I replied to their posts a few times (in varying degrees of politeness) that that was a mistake and questioned how much they truly valued community. I think after the 3rd one where I just said "Forums! Forums! Forums!" they blocked me. <Shrug> I don't miss it, except in cases like this. And it's especially funny for me when Storf posts stuff that reference VMP posts.
