Not sure how your local library is, also, but I've been enjoying the shit out of mine. I used them to catch up on the last 5 years worth of Batman comics and have forthcoming trades already on hold.
That’s unfortunate. I loved Hip-Hop Family Tree.Fuck!

Really damning final words in his Facebook post. Worth a read for those that might not even know who he was (like me). The humanity of it all is too heavy.Yeah, I'll say.
Hadn't heard from my old boss in a bunch of months until he sent me the few-days old accusation story yesterday then he sent me this one just now.
A lot of mixed thoughts and feelings.
God damn. That is wild and incredibly sad.Really damning final words in his Facebook post. Worth a read for those that might not even know who he was (like me). The humanity of it all is too heavy.

you can tell he knows how bad this is gonna hurt his family but he still couldn’t see another way out.Oooof, the bit to his folks was especially hard to read.

I will say I used to follow Pisker on Twitter (before Elon) and he seemed friendly but also extremely online. Seemingly his whole world was essentially social media and comic books and he was likely gonna lose both, I could how he’d feel hopeless. it’s a sad situation.
I saw this and am probably going to pick up the first compendium for $75. I don’t think I need all four but i love the art and the first 50 issues in a nice hardbound book would be a fun collection to thumb through.
I am with you in a sense. They are not ideal from reading front to back but they often present the artwork in the best possible way especially nice oversized prints on premium paper stock. I can read the comics digitally if I really get pulled in to a story arc but for me the big boys are the type of thing I pull off the shelf, read an issue or two and then put it back on the shelf again, best enjoyed in small portions. That's pretty sweet. I'm not the hugest fan of Omnibus editions though – I find them clunky and awkward to read. I have the Silver Age and Bronze Age Doom Patrol ones that I picked up years ago but I dunno that I would get myself any more at this point. I think the 'Epic Collection' sized TPBs are where I'm at for larger collections.

I absolutely loved the GI Joe video Game for NES back in the day.A friend of mine was the writer on the continued series in the early 00's and is now the narrative lead on the upcoming GI Joe Snake Eyes video game. They're committed to pulling in elements from across the entire franchise, and I know how much he loves the original Hama run.
