Had a decent response in a status update to get this thread going again, so I figured getting this thread started could get some more eyes on it.

The whole list will be posted up Thanksgiving evening - Nov. 28th - if all goes to plan.

The "rules"

This isn't a contest or competition. You can't win and won't be eliminated.
Interpret each topic in your own way
Try to play something that hasn't been played for that day.
Catch up if you miss some days.
Don't be shy about telling stories about your selection, and yet don't feel you have to elaborate on anything you post
Have fun!

Day 1 - Whatever

Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh & Thomas Bartlett

To compliment @Lee Newman playing The Gloaming above I’m going with this one that came out later in 2019. In terms of atmosphere and quality this comes from the same place but with only the Hardanger fiddle and The Piano present and it being largely recorded in improvisational environment it is much more minimalist and the gaps in the music become much more important.

I’m gonna need you to chill. I’m already chomping at the bit to buy the rest of The Gloaming’s discography.

Henry Mancini - Breakfast At Tiffany's (Music From The Motion Picture Score)

Not a white whale or my favorite, but I chose it because it's early in the challenge; the 'breakfast stage' if you will.

Thanks for bringing back the challenge thread @LeeVing

1. Welcome back - this is my most recent fresh grab. It's an old favourite that I'm delighted is finally on vinyl (the blue was a surprise and a bonus). I love Todd Snider's ability to spin a yarn, perhaps best shown on "The Ballad of the Kingsmen" on this record. Up there with his debut as his best for me.

Day 1 - Welcome Back

Feels great to be back!
Starting it off with one of my favorites as I woke up with a heavy hankering for Chocolate & Cheese
