The three I have so far:

1. 45 Spindle, inked on Record Store Day 2013
2. A 5-line music staff
3. The Epitaph of Seikilos, one of the oldest known songs in the world (date could be as old as 200 BC, but mostly believed to be from the first AD century). It sounds like this:

Both of mine are Queens of the Stone Age tattoos. The first one is lyrics from I Appear Missing. ...Like Clockwork got me through one of the hardest times of my life so I just had to get lyrics from my favorite song in on the record.

The second is my dream peice created by Geary Morrill based on Head Like a Haunted House.

I had been following Geary for a while and he just happened to live in my state so the opportunity was there to make this happen and I still am in awe of how beautiful it came out. I got this to comemerate my experience of traveling across the country to follow them for three West Coast shows during their last tour.

I have another appointment for a tattoo in August, where I'm going to start work on a half sleeve. It will also be QoTSA inspired but more of a nod to themes in their lyrics.

i tattooed on the strip in vegas for several years before moving to seattle and no i only do custom work. i really love the aspect of doing only metaphorical / autobiographical work at this point. heres a link to my website and instagram if anyone ever gets a hankering for a tattoo from someone that leans towards musically-inclined bespoked pieces!

I’ve got 16. These are my arms/forearms. Also have back covered. Top of back is all Thai sak yant from when I live in Thailand done by a monk in a hut with a steel lance (tourist shops will do it w “traditional” bamboo but the real practitioners don’t use bamboo anymore)

Haven’t gotten tattooed in about 10 years and prob will never again and if I could talk to younger me would counsel out of some.

Also to answer the questions no one asked: yes that’s a GY!BE tat, an Okkervil River, and my handle namesake, Sisyphus
