November Challenge Thread: All-Stars Edition!

The Black Crowes - Three Snakes And One Charm

An OG version on 14 sides spread across 7 of your finest 7" records in their own pic sleeves and a double LP version when they finally reissued the vinyl in 2015. Also have a CD version and a cassette version but turkey is telling me y'all will take my word for it. Can't miss out on those meaningless points.

@Skalap chose Vol. 46:

Sissoko, Segal, Parisien, Peirani - Les Égarés

When @Skalap brought us our second release from No Format (@Colonel_Angus had introduced us way back on Vol. 21), he also talked to the label about getting a discount which led a few of us to join their subscription service. I ordered the vinyl of this album but joined the sub for CDs (it’s a long story). Anyhow, so I own this in both formats.

Aesop Rock "Spirit World Field Guide"
(2020 Rhymesayers Entertainment)
So looking back at the PIFsgiving extravaganza from last year, it helped me grow an Aesop Rock collection. I had just picked-up his recently released ITS and realized that although I listened to his work on and off, I really needed to dig-in more seriously. In came @Dead C and @avecigrec, adding 3 Aesop Rock records in my collection in one fell swoop. Really thankful for that. This place is mostly awesome. I've since added 3 more Aesop Rock records. And I enjoy them all so much that I will likely eventually fill out the holes.

Alright, this might be a stupid pick but I was inordinately excited to pick this up today for Black Friday Record Store Day given how much my kids and I watched this movie when they were little. And you've got the Flaming Lips, Wilco, Ween and Motorhead. Plus the goofy goober song.

New Order "Power Corruption and Lies"
(1983 Factory Canada)
This may be the album I've owned the most copies of over the years, all formats included. It's right up there anyway. I currently have two, this original Canadian pressing (my favorite sounding version of all those I've had) and the 2020 deluxe edition box (not so great sounding and to be sold). This is the 2nd copy of the Canadian pressing I've owned - I upgraded it to get a cleaner copy a few years ago. I've also owned this on CD and cassette. Without counting the three 12" singles I have that were released concurrently with the album (Blue Monday, Murder and Thieves Like Us).

I've got the CD of this somewhere. Plus I just got an extra copy of this today that I posted up over on the PIF thread, so take a look over there if you are interested!

Joni Mitchell – Ladies Of The Canyon

Growing up, my mom would sing me songs when she tucked me into bed. Most were kid's songs, one was "Blowin' in the Wind," but the one I loved the most, and still have vivid memories of, was "The Circle Game."

Arrested Development - 3 Years, 5 Months And 2 Days In The Life Of...

This and Boys II Men’s Cooleyhighharmony were the first two CDs I ever owned after getting my first CD Player, a Craig Boombox that could play CD and Cassette Tapes for Christmas in 1992.

Day 28: Play a record you are thankful is in your collection.

Dinosaur* - You're Living All Over Me

One of the few albums that I’ve collected that is both something I love and actually legitimately collectable. This is a copy of Dinosaur Jr. second LP that was released just prior to them changing the band’s name from “Dinosaur” to “Dinosaur Jr.”
