Who likes visuals of people known for creating sounds?!! If you shoot photos, I'd like to see them, but I'm also interested in your favorite images from other photographers throughout historeeeeeeeeee!!! This includes both live concert photography as well as promotional and portrait photography.

Please make the effort to include photo credits whenever possible.

Here's a photograph that I took of Charles Bradley at the 2017 Pickathon Music Festival in Happy Valley, Oregon

And here's a photo of the Grateful Dead that I've always loved. It was shot by Bob Seidermann in 1967. I believe it was one of their first ever promo shoots and involved people holding mirrors to reflect the sun onto their faces.

Sadly I lost a lot in a harddrive crash. Had a lot of early Sub Pop bands. What I can find right now is not my best work, but hey it was 1990 and I was probably using a disposable camera.

Here is Kurt crashed out in Chad Channings drumkit, March 1990

Kurt and Krist in August 1990. I think they were opening for Sonic Youth.

I'll see what I can dig up, but this is one of my favorites.

This is Quique Rangel, bass player(and other instruments) of Cafe Tacvba. He's one of my favorite bass players and I love how this photo turned out. In the back we can see drummer Luis Ledezma Children, live drummer for Tacvba. IMG_20180830_213341-01.jpeg

I've got thousands of pictures I've taken over the last 10 years or so, here's 10 favorites I had handy on my phone.

I've been a fan of Janette Beckman's for quite some time. She's from the UK and shot a lot of early punk figures, but gravitated toward hip hop in the 80s. Here are some random gems from her career.

These are all great. I really like that Little Simz shot and that Whitney setup just looks dangerous

Attended a Jazz, Soul & Funk festival yesterday in London called 'Cross The Tracks'. It was a fantastic day with some equally fantastic music. Heres a few unedited iPhone snaps I took:

That’s me on the left with my phone horizontal snapping pics and my girlfriend in front of me. My guess is this was during Brainy since the lights are yellow.

Damn, are some of you professional photographers?? Here are some potato-quality photos I have saved from around 2007. Shit quality, but still fun to reminisce.

Dreamy Anthony Green. Circa Survive opening for Saves the Day at the Great American Music Hall, San Francisco, CA on March 9, 2006.

Kevin Barnes / of Montreal at the Great American Music Hall, San Francisco, CA on Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, 2007. Thankfully he didn't whip out his dong during this particular show. Killer set, opening with "No Conclusion" segueing into "The Past Is a Grotesque Animal." Fun fact: I bought "Hissing Fauna" on vinyl here at the show, my first record purchase. Didn't even own a turntable at the time.

The Sea and Cake at Bimbo's 365 Club, San Francisco, CA on May 18, 2007. Good music, but pretty boring/dull performance from what I remember. Best summarized by the fact that Sam Prekop was basically staring at these giant cue cards, reading the lyrics.

9251

John Stanier of Battles at Slim's, San Francisco, CA on July 2, 2007 with interesting crash cymbal placement.

9252

Wilco at the Greek Theatre, Berkeley, CA on August 24, 2007. Great venue. Richard Swift opened and the crowd was basically talking over him the whole set 😞

9254

Doug Martsch / Built to Spill at the Treasure Island Music Festival, Treasure Island, CA on September 16, 2007. Like an hour of fine-tuning and perfectionist set-up and 20 minutes of music. Some dude next to me was begging Netson for the setlist before the set was even over and he was like, "dude, not cool, that's like calling shotgun before you can even see the car" 😂 Was a pretty sweet lineup: Modest Mouse, Spoon, Built to Spill, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, M. Ward, Two Gallants, and Au Revoir Simone.
