Amoeba Vinyl Club

Interesting club, it feels like a lot of it is going to hinge on if the Amoeba Partnership brings more recognizable musicians into the mix. Just peeking at the Vinyl Moon releases (which seem to be what this is going to be by and large), it looks like some (really cool) artsy covers, colored vinyl, and then a compilation of songs. It seems like a bit of a hard-sell to put a compilation of ten up and coming artists and then charge $30 for it as a subscription model but it'll have its loyalists for sure. The art's really cool some months.

$30 a month for a compilation of unknowns is just way too high. I love discovering new music and miss old music mags that came with a comp cd every month. But that's maybe a $15 sell for me, tough to swing $30.
