    I know summer songs these days tend to be hip-hop or pop tunes rather than rock songs, but, I'd rather have 'This Summer' or pretty much anything off of Japandroids' "Celebration Rock" record any day. Especially 'The House That Heaven Built'.

    Loving all of the space related documentaries that are running right now to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. If you're into that stuff like me, don't sleep on PBS over the next few weeks.

    The one that was on last night, "When We Were Apollo" was really good. A lot of different voices and perspectives than many of the other docs which tend to focus on the astronauts themselves.

    Caught the new Spider Man on Friday, and then watched the latest episode of “Euphoria” later that night. Zendaya has some legit acting range.

    Just got a ticket to see Black Pumas at The Mohawk in August. Gonna be a hot show! No, it is LITERALLY gonna be a hot show. Late August...outdoors...Texas...there is a chance I will actually melt into a puddle of sweat.

    Not sure. I went to a new sandwich place here in town, and they had them in the small bags. Didn't indicate that they were limited, but, I don't know for sure. They were pretty great though.

    I had not heard anything, but it's funny I read that because I was just thinking about them last night. Not to get too political, but, I thought about them in light of the news stories I saw last night about USWNT soccer player Megan Rapinoe's comments about not going to the White House. Reminded me of the backlash that the Chicks got for making comments about President Bush overseas & the craziness that set off.

    Funny to me that after these years, and after all we've learned about the Bush administration and the Iraq war, that there are still country radio stations that won't play the Dixie Chicks music. So stupid.

    Good day for new releases from Austin based artists. Black Pumas and Bruce & Kelly both putting excellent work out into the world today.

    Spoon greatest hits album is due out in July, and it includes one new track, 'No Bullets Spent'. Looking at the tracklisting, and, this thing looks very slight. Only 13 songs...one of them new. What is there is solid, but a ton of great songs missing.

    Every time I see something about the band PUP, my brain reads PULP, and I get very excited that there is news about PULP. I'll have to check PUP out, but I also wouldn't mind hearing something new from Jarvis and/or PULP.
