    Really on the fence about my first concert since Covid on Friday. Don't think I'd have this anxiety if it were the type of show I could stand in the back and watch peacefully, but its a melodeath/metalcore show and there will be lots of moshing/screaming/people in close contact. Hmmmmmmmm

    @nolalady I am, and I just checked the venue site and they'll requite vaccination proof, no tests accepted. That makes me feel a bit better, leaning towards going. For the record the lineup is Black Dahlia Murder, Rivers of Nihil & Carnifex :)

    @DJSJ if you aren't living with anyone who is immunocompromised, you are vaccinated, and the venue requires everyone else to have a vaccine, I would feel okay with going.

    I’ve been to two shows recently like this and both also required people to wear masks (not sure if yours will though). Granted, you could remove them to drink something, but i felt like requiring vaccinations and also masks was a combo that made me feel pretty safe, even in close proximity to a lot of people indoors.

    Apartment hunting and I found a great unit for an amazing price on craiglist. Got directed to the landlord and this guy's insisting on a $700 deposit (refundable) BEFORE giving a tour of the unit. This is a scam, yeah? Starting to get red flags.

    Idk if I would say their new stuff sucks, but it's definitely bland and uninteresting, which is not something I could say about anything they've released before.

    I'm increasingly of the opinion that I'll need to hear the whole album to judge new output. A few times this year (Julien Baker, Half Waif, Lump, Japanese Breakfast) I've felt a bit let down with singles, and then liked them - if not grow to love them - in the context of the album. The only Deafheaven single I've really loved is the latest, In Blur, so I'm willing to give the others a shot in context.

    Vinyl resellers may be awful, but at least they aren't the human garbage that are sneaker resellers. They're actually killing the hobby, or at least limiting it to the 1%. It's bonkers.

    Nobody was talking about Kanye last week nearly as much as they are now. Nobody was screaming for his album nearly as much as they are now. There never was a Friday release, that was just his marketing y'all buy into.

    Pissed at USPS. Mailed a customer a set of custom bound hardcover comics (my little side gig) and what arrived was a box with 2/3 books, all packaging removed, and a number of thrift store books in its place? What the hell guys?

    That's wild, I'm sorry. Like I would have thought lying customer too but the packaging all being removed kind of pushes me toward fraud in transit...with that said to have those books probably means the package had to be taken out of the facilities I presume?

    Yeah its absolutely maddening. It's a miracle the 2 books that did make it arrived with no damage, considering all the packaging was gone. The books that were in its place were a bunch of kids picture books and an alcoholics recovery guide. The missing book in question is volume 3 of a custom hardcover bind of the cult series Sandman Mystery Theatre....
