@Melt Face Molly Drop I do like a lot of their older stuff and they have some jams. But to me it's stuff that I'll dance to if I hear it when I'm out but never really feel compelled to listen to it at home.
If there’s a Kingdom of Rust going I’m finding the knuckle dusters. I think we both have the rest.
I do like how not liking a highly regarded band is a “hot take” and can’t be accepted without explaining your full user history.
Daft Punk are grand, had a lot of fun on nights out to them but not so keen on them for home listening. Nile Rogers plays the same riff on every song he ever wrote. It is a good riff though.
BTW, my first experience with Daft Punk was watching the video for “Da Funk” at like 1:00 AM on MTV’s Amp during my sophomore year of high school. Heady times.
I think I was 18 when discovery came out and it’s was all over clubs in my first year of uni. Good fun. I don’t think I bought a copy of any of their albums till the mid 10s and they only gets played when going for a party vibe with others around.
Also, Stardust’s “Music Sounds Better With You” is one of the best dance tracks ever created maybe now Thomas Bangalter will have time to work on a sequel?
