    @bdm105 It's been a while since I've been there but The Showbox is ok. I always found the sound loud vs. great acoustically, but if you're up front centre stage for a rock show it doesn't matter as much. And crazy hot in the summer. But I do like Crystal Ballroom quite a bit better (although does Crystal still put the underage barrier in the middle still? I always found that weird).

    Fun game of is a crackle/distortion noise being caused by: receiver (most likely), year + old stylus (possibly), dirty vinyl, vintage speaker just dying.

    Check your cables and the jacks/plugs where they connect at the equipment. Typically straightforward cable replacement test or shaking/kinking the cables. Wiggle the actual connections and inspect them. Loose or failing interconnections are one of the most likely causes of crackling. If you can see the inside where terminals are soldered you should inspect there. They fail less but can be the culprit.

    My last order (that is now back ordered) was in November. I'm officially out of outers and started tagging any records without one with a post it note and only have the rice paper inner sleeves left. those are nearly done though. really going to go crazy and order a lot when they're back in stock.

    Ya, I need to place another order of inners as soon as they send me a shipping confirmation for my backordered order, but I think we'll be looking elsewhere for outers, this is way too long.

    I'm going to have a Daft Punk Alive 2007/1997 box set with slightly warped but still sounds fine (to my system at least) discs for sale in the next day or two. Still figuring out a fair price but, forum gets first dibs and will be the best price before I go to my local/reddit.
