Yeah exactly! Even small warps don’t bother me because it doesn’t affect playback. If it’s a noticeable warp, or noticeable surface noise etc, then it’s an issue!
It takes away the joy for me if I’m taking everything too seriously about vinyl...
And yes, I care very much about sound quality when it comes to pressings! That’s where the joy really comes in
@NathanRicaud Would you accept a new garment w holes - still dresses you? A sandwich w a bite missing - can still enjoy the rest? Drive a new car w a dent off the lot - still gets from A to B? Why would you accept less from your records - they’re bought w the same $ you, presumably, work hard for.
A new garment with holes = No, unless they are tiny holes that aren’t really visible
A Sandwich with a bite missing = That’s just gross
A new car = No. Maybe if I was getting around 3-4 new cars every week, I wouldn’t care as much. But I think I might only get a new car once or twice in my lifetime!
It’s not affecting the vinyl at all. Unless it was a massive defect on the jacket, it doesn’t bother me!
