Needles & Grooves

Oh my! I am so sorry. That must be incredibly painful. My cat jumped on my head once and pure reflex kicked in. I launched him across the room without even realizing it. He never jumped on my head again though. Edit: I was deeply asleep.

True story: my friend in high school threw a piece of orbit gum at me when I asked for some after class. It was an awkward throw and since those pieces are rectangle with an edge it scratched my cornea and I’ve needed glasses ever since. I can still see okay without them, one eye is fine the other is a little blurry. But totally a fluke accident.

Also we never let our cat sleep in our room for reasons like this (but also because she’ll eat the plants we have in there)

Yeah I’ve pushed a cat off the bed before when they’ve jumped up unexpectedly but I was half asleep when I’ve reacted that way... anyway, if we kicked the cats out of the bedroom, I’d never hear the end of the scratching and meowing at the door. It’s a thought though...after this incident.
