Notes on The Stooges LP From the VMP website "Appearing on vinyl for the first time ever, the John Cale mix of The Stooges—which was lost for more than 40 years". Misleading. These have been circulating the underground for ages.

Half the Cale mixes were widely available in 2005 (36 years after release), the full mix available in 2010 (41 years). It is also widely accepted that the Cale mixes are garbage as he artificially slowed everything down to make the band sound "more evil."
