I'd love to be out there raging against the machine, but, honestly, I think I'd rather just sit here and listen to Steely Dan's "Aja". Not sure if that answers your question or not...just sort of how I'm dealing with the whole mid-life crisis thing.

I refuse to answer this question, or stop for a minute to think about this question because if I do my whole life will feel meaningles...oh crap.

@Aron I feel like your version of dealing with it is much more life-affirming than other variations I have seen as of late. LOL @nolalady OH NO! Don't think about it, la la la la, I'm not listening to you.

@GritNGlitter tell me about it. I think I'm hitting one of those weird transitioning mindset periods that is just the worst. I've always been a big existential crisis type person but this is just ridiculous. @Memo but did you put 5k rims on that beast??? lol

@Tyr I wish it was more life affirming than it actually has been. Having my job pulled out from under me at my age has really put me on my ass, and I'm not reacting well to it. A lot of numbness and paralysis. I feel like my last decade or so of work experience has zero value out in the current landscape, and my options seem really limited. "Aja" seems to be keeping the panic attacks away. For now.
