Coupla things from the last week, deliveries and a pick-up from Astronautsaint records in Portland/Clackamas area. Their shop had some trees fall on it during the ice storm a couple of months ago, so just doing pickups right now. Nice guy, and threw a bunch of stickers and posters in the bag. Need to get to cleaning once I get back from Seattle tomorrow. Go M's!

Roland Haynes - Second Wave
Chester Thompson - Powerhouse
PJ Harvey - Uh Huh Her
Teenage Fanclub - Endless Arcade w/signed print

Oh man I cannot wait for the Hasaan Ibn Ali to arrive. I ordered it over a week ago from the next town across from me and it still hasn't shipped. I jumped the gun as I popped down to my local at the weekend and he has it for a few quid cheaper as well.

I still haven't been to a record shop. Nearest one (apart from Oxfam), is a bit of a drive.

edit - haven't spun it yet, but it is a QRP pressing, packaging looks good

So today was fun. Some records from Acoustic Sounds, Nat King Cole from Amazon at a special deal and the Yusef Lateef One-Step (#0023) from Craft Recordings.

Got the Getz/Gilberto AS release last year and Speakers Corner (i think) Jazz Samba but wanted the AP45's more.

Really need to grab that Herbie, Billie and Smokin at the Half Note soon. Highly recommend grabbing their press of Billies Songs for Distingue Lovers. Sounds absolutely EPIC. Great haul my man

Eternal thanks to @Crabbers for hooking me up with his spare copy of this. It looks and sounds great and is something I will treasure for as long as I live (or until an edition with Gangsta Boo's verse is released anyways)

Bought my third Ikea box for my ever-expanding 7s collection, and it came in a rather dull plain white so I decided to pimp it up with a few of my favourite covers and labels. Quite happy with the result, given my lack of art skills normally. Need to think how to fill the white spaces on the side over time.

Ornette Coleman - The Shape of Jazz To Come
Al Green - Call Me
Marvin Gaye - I Want You

A fabulous trio of fresh grabs. The first two Speakers Corner records I have in my hands (I have Transformer waiting for me in the UK, whenever I get there). I somehow bought the Ornette Coleman on DOL or some similar label a long while ago so very happy to get a (hopefully) high quality copy. I'm going from 0-60 on Al Green pretty quickly and this is an absolute must get. And to top it all a fantastic PIF from @uvwxVinyl that I'm super excited to put on. Cheers, sir!
