The Ronnie Scott Quartet - 1612 Overture (Gearbox Records, 2013 Limited 10" Pressing)
Chet Baker Ensemble - S/T (Pacific Jazz/Vogue, 1956 First UK 10" Pressing)
First up, massive thanks to @NewcastleSpinner for selling this MOFI copy of In A Silent Way. I'm going to put aside some time to properly listen later and I can't wait! The others are eBay wins where I was the only bidder, I seem to have had a good run lately. The Stan Getz was in a woeful state when it arrived, the seller had used some misleading photos and the amount of grime on the lp (which wasn't in an inner sleeve) was awful, but after a proper clean it looks new! The Ronnie Scott is an interesting one as the B-side consists of an interview between Ronnie and Les Tompkins, a local legend that lived down the road from me and wrote for Crescendo magazine.

A 7" bundle that I was the only bidder on, got these for £4! Also shown here is an oddity, a scrap of paper signed by the pianist Michael Garrick!

More books. The Blue Note and Savoy discographies are behemoths that contain detailed notes of every recorded session (including unused tracks), photographic essays, and detailed histories of the labels. I also have the Prestige on its way to me. The Benny Goodman book is the final one in the Jazz Masters series, a fantastic set of books that were often used as the basis for much larger biographies by the authors. I now have all 15 in the series (3 left to read) and while I didnt think I would be overly interested in this one I started in last night and have almost finished, its fascinating! Finally, a jazz oddity that was going cheap so I couldn't say no!
