Catch Up Day 4 - Sweetness

I struggled for this one. I am not a fan of this album at all, really. I have it because I bought it thinking it contained a sample used in Tosca’s track Honey on the Suzuki album (which I would have sworn I had but seems I do not, I must just remember almost buying one in a store, then, wtf). Turns out the sample was Sunny by Boney M.

Day 3: 3rd album

Kevin Morby - Singing Saw

His best and it's not close. My girlfriend bought me this record for my birthday a few years ago after I'd been streaming it obsessively for a couple months. That was actually the impetus for me getting back into records.

Funny, I think it's the only one I don't have 😂 . I really love Harlem River!

August 5 - Neil Armstrong's birthday - Play an album that takes you to outer space.

The Curtis Counce Quintet ‎– Exploring The Future (Dootone Records, 1970 Pressing)

I love the cover art for this album, its just so funny. Definitely spacey although he probably needs to put his helmet on asap!

Catch up!
Day 1:
An album related to Bluegrass:
Various Artists - Music from Red Dead Redemption 2
I’m not gonna lie, I had no idea what to do for this one. I kinda just went with the most western/country thing I had so 🤷‍♂️

Day 2:
An album with a unique adjective describing its color:
Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage
The F.Y.E variant was advertised as “purple grape candy.” I mean, ok. It’s just a purple with hints of red and blue in it.

Day 3:
The third album by an artist:
Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
I’ll admit, this album was a grower to me. It took a while for it to get stuck with me, but now, I’m glad it did, because this album is wonderful, even if I still prefer Demon Days to it.

Day 4:
A “sweet” album:
Mariah Carey - Daydream
🎼It’s a sweet, sweet fantasy baby🎼

Day 5:
An album that takes me to space:
Rush - 2112
The title track is the most 70’s sci-fi thing I’ve ever heard, and I love it so much.

Getting ahead:
Day 6:
An album about lightning:
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
And... the award for most obvious album choice for a clue goes to this pick right here!
