IMO, when the mockups are wrong most of the time the record looked even better. Especially in the early days when every mokup was just a solid color. Some over the years were way off but I wouldn't say it's been a glaring problem.

I'm on vacation so I can't check but I seem to remember my Strand of Oaks looking really nice and close to the mock up. That's the club version and not the indie exclusive? (That I think I remember being Cloudy Clear)Not a glaring problem, but when a variant catches your eye and the end result is a ways off the mark, it's not a great experience.
Here is one example from last year that stands out. Not saying I'm not happy with the final result, but c'mon, it's essentially clear. Why bother calling it cloudy white and posting mock-up photos that are light blue with Charmin clouds?
