Online Vinyl Deals

For $25 it’s worth a shot.

I bought it at DeepDiscount for something like ~$30 ($35?) -- and I'd give it a strong B, but I'm not a huge fan of Dave so don't really have a deep bench to compare from outside to 4 studio albums and a couple live shows. Sound is good but didn't seem great. Slight thing that drive smy OCD crazy is that as a design choice they decided not to number or label the spines of the 5 albums.

I went for it. However, I see the amount left number went up since I bought one at 2 am, so I don't like when that happens. First sign that something's amiss...
Just noticed Deep discount on amazon has it for the same price plus $4 shipping.

It's just MP3s right? I go with bandcamp over all else because you get WAV/FLAC downloads but amazon autorip doesn't really do much for me. It's the same quality as streaming AFAIK.

Yeah mp3's. Not sure if the bandcamp always includes digital. For Ambrose in particular Amazon had it for $20 with prime and autorip so it was a no brainer for me.

99% of the time, bandcamp includes digital. I have only seen it not included in the case of very limited jazz reissues but nearly all my vinyl purchases included FLACs/WAV/MP3 download.

Bandcamp not only gives you digital but FLAC, and most of the time it's 24 bit FLAC.
Yea--as mentioned, the only times it hasn't has been in some rare cases of rare jazz reissues or comps but it's clearly marked when no digital is included. Not to mention that bandcamp is far and away the best place to buy music when it comes to how much money artists get from it.

Yeah I need to use them more. For this particular instance I had a giftcard for Amazon so that also went into it.
That's a no-brainer haha. I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm glad that no matter where you order from, it's on the cheaper end for new releases.

Not sure if this is a 'deal' or not--I suppose it might depend on exactly which version of it I receive. But with all the copies of this record I've had over the years, I never have had one as quiet as I would like, and since Amazon is basically a risk-free option, I'm going for it.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (Remastered)

Received this today from Amazon. Was packaged in the flimsiest, paper-thin plastic envelope folded over on itself, the way you might expect to receive a t-shirt--no protection whatsoever! I've never before received a record from Amazon without some form of cardboard packaging. Yet somehow, the jacket was in perfect shape, and I'm happy to report the record is flat and quiet, and sounds great. This will go as a bargain in my book since I've paid a lot more for early pressings that haven't been nearly as quiet. I haven't done a side-by-side to see whether the mixes are noticeably different, but this could be a case where ignorance is bliss. :D
