Looks cool but kind of glad I just bought the silver off of Rough Trade... about $5 cheaper there too and they don’t charge until they ship.

Yeah, $5 cheaper after shipping. The VMP price on this is fucking ridiculous. It's easy to forget that one of their major selling points with membership was supposed to be getting records for cheaper.

I have a feeling the actual record won't live up to that mockup anyway, usually those "transparent with marbled whatever" color variants basically end up looking like clear records that got something smudged on them (at least in my experience). I'd rather go pure silver. Plus you can be reasonably sure you'll get it on time ordering from another place.
 
That Yves Tumor is probably going to sit around for a while too at $34. Even similarish more popular outsider artists like Grimes, Thundercat and Moses Sumney are still available which is surprising.

Does anyone else feel like there is no hype at all for store drops now that it is random? That and releasing color variants several days (or weeks) after other color variants are already available is kind of weird too. I feel like they are releasing way too many exclusives.

They should be trying to move the old inventory they have in the store. ROTMs like Torres, Tennis, Wells Fargo, etc. Exclusives like Shamir, Petite Noir, Art Ensemble of Chicago, etc.

There's so much that's been in the store for years now, and they have made no attempt to get it out the door.

Exactly and a lot of that stuff would sell if they just had a fire sale. They would move inventory and get a nice little bump in capital. I can’t imagine they are getting sales on any of those old ROTMs from month to month. Maybe a small handful from swaps and that’s it. That, and it’s hard to search the store, especially on mobile. Honestly, the new store is god awful.

yeah. Shamir I've been mildly interested in, but not even at 13$ do i want to purchase it outright. It's honestly a little absurd how few sales VMP have with how much bulk they most likely have
