My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.

For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.

I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!

#14 Jinx - Crumb

This record flourishes with caramel, foggy, hazy bliss! I love the dreamy, jazzy, subdued, fairytale, psychedelic atmosphere of this record! The drums are fat and the keys are lullaby-ish and the synths are woozy and leightweight. This is definitely an album that represents a sweet, lustful daydream 😇

Not a chance. You think I’d trust them to fix something that’s already broken? And I doubt it will be any better, it’s an issue across every pressing of every album he’s released.

I always have, both here and in the old place, and I always will, there’s great music on the ones I have and they spin. There’s a reason @Lee Newman jokes about me always getting him to spin his CDs too!

#13 Big Thief - Two Hands

This record is stunning in the sense of the vulnerability displayed by the lead vocalist. You can hear the desperation, frustration, rawness and overall heart-felt emotion. There’s something childlike about the vocals that i just love! And I also love how stripped this record is texture wise. There isn’t much going on, but the instrumentation all melds together so beautifully! It’s melodic, languid-like folk, skeletal music executed perfectly! It really encapsulates that tree-house, fireplace, wooden floorboards with a big vintage teddy bear feel! 🕰📺🧸
