I got everything I was targeting plus a bonus that was sitting in the “Recent Arrivals” bin while waiting my turn to thumb through the RSD Bin. Imperial f.f.c.c. is a great LP it’s always fun to come across early 90s pressings in the wild plus since it was used it was another 20% off.
The other 4 were nice gets. I may have grabbed the Last Phish and Jonathan Fire*Eater albums but it seemed like there was still several of The Wrens and 3 or 4 or The National cassette box. I am glad to finally own one ofThe Wrens albums on wax hopefully sometime in the next decade or so they will get around to repressing Secaucus and The Meadowlands.
The Story of The Ghost was the second Phish CD I ever purchased (after Lawn Boy) the first one that I experienced as it was released. Their run of studio albums from Hoist thru Farmhouse is unimpeachable IMHO.
I was late to the party on Jonathan Fire*Eater, though I always was aware of them (primarily as the band that preceded The Walkman) I never Explored their output until I read Lizzy Goodman’s phenomenal oral history Meet Me In The Bathroom. I didn’t realize how influential they had been to so many bands that I loved from the early 00s NYC indie scene. Over the past couple years their music has been in heavy rotation digitally and another one I am happy to own on wax.
As a bit of a National fan boy the cassette box is a neat release, Now that my Subaru is out of commission I am going to have to find another means to actually listen to it.

For what it's worth, I ordered these when they first had them on the site and they also arrived like that. I remember writing in because I was also wtf and they refunded the purchase at the time - they were quite generous back then.

Those were the days, I went through 3 copies before I got one without a damaged jacket. It was my first experience with their CS and was amazed with the quality of the experience. My how things have changed.

I was gutted when I missed out on her last album, Golden Rule, (although it is getting a repressing soon!) so I swooped in when one of the team over on the Jazz Thread posted about this one. Limited to 1000 and over 750 were sold during the pre-order alone.....thats impressive!

Just got back from seeing JME at Rough Trade as part of an in-store signing/album launch gig. JME is a British grime artist (his brother is Skepta) and he hasnt released a new album in over 4 years. I took my copy of his previous album, Integrity, and he couldnt believe I had a copy, they only pressed around 150 as promo items and even JME doesnt have any. He gave the few he had away and said he regrets it now. Really cool guy and nice of him to sign both and chat for a while.
