Next up. New one by Samantha Fish. A really nice preorder package. Signed cover in protective sleeve. Separate cover with colored vinyl. Patch and picture sleeve. Nice. Hope this sounds half as good as it looks. Will update after I spin side 1.

Edit: Pressing is quiet but the overall sound level is a bit low so you need to turn it up a bit. It would be easy to put an audiophile hat on and find fault with the sound but I am enjoying the record to much. So just going to grab a cold one and flip over to side two.

Edit 2: Ok. Let’s be honest. The sound quality on this is similar to the cassette tapes I used to dub live off the FM radio on a mediocre tape deck. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like the record. :).

This made me laugh out loud. I remember in high school I was really obsessed with The Doors - Light My Fire performance from the Hollywood Bowl Concert And there’s this part of the song where there’s this epic like 4 minute long keyboard solo. I was in a garage high as fuck with all my friends listening to it and it was really quiet and I assumed everyone was just in awe of the music (as I was) and then the silence was broken by “What the fuck is this dude? Can we change it?” followed by a couple “Yeah”s and one particularly painful “is that a guitar?”. I was so deflated after that 😂
