That’s where these bootleggers get people. Same with pressing mixtapes (FBZ, Mac, etc...) they find ones that artists have said we most likely won’t see a pressing for and then rush one out. I mean these are Alchemist/Bronson prices but at least Alchemist had a say in what got sent to the press...
Most recent boots I’ve found, hip hop/rock/metal, range in the $60-$90 range if it’s a double LP. No idea if this is because of where they are having to get them pressed or what. Just makes them even more not worth it imo.
This would end up being my Top 20.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Fishing for Fishies
Pijn & Conjurer - Curse These Metal Hands
Westside Gunn - Hitler Wears Hermès 7
Billy Strings - Home
Iglooghost/Kai Whiston/Babii - XYZ
Billy Woods & Kenny Segal - Hiding Places
Asthma Castle - Mount...
I remember picking up that CD my freshman year of college. It's nice being able to stream 4:44 as well, it's the last CD I went to the store and bought. Smart move on his part imo, streaming platform exclusivity is dumb.
