Hah! Why? (Please excuse my ignorance, I do not understand this but I can guess why)
I think it’s the table setting atop your amp. Amps can get hot and sitting other equipment directly on top can block ventilation used to cool the device. Also, turntables don’t always sit nicely on top of other equipment which could cause issues. You might be better off sitting the table where the record display is and sitting your record display on top of your amp.

it’s your set up and you should do whatever makes you happy but I think that is the would be the common rationale.

Dead on asessment, it can lead to a bunch of issues on your table, including added vibrations and feedback, balance, level, etc. Let alone heat dissipation issues on your amp that will shorten it's life span.

Mofi have ok feet, try putting one of these under it for $20, many over in the hardware forum use them under there's and be sure the table is level.
