It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

I'll take the penalty but that's not a red. And Anthony Taylor continues to suck at his job.

It’s either neither or both. My gut is it wasn’t deliberate so neither because it hit his body first but I can also kinda get the decision because his arm was a little out.

Anthony Taylor isn’t the best but there are far worse. I’ve always thought he was in the bracket of 3/4 that are merely ok. Michael Oliver is the only top class ref in the premier league.

Ha! If you think that’s their money…

Also small fry in comparison to the close to £1.5 billion they’ve now taken out in interest payments and dividends.

Still the football romantic in me is delighted to have Cristiano back for a swan song!

Love to see him back. It would have been a disappointment if he had joined City. Nice way to end his brilliant career. I believe he will spend a year at Sporting in Portugal after these at United and it will be enough at 40. Brilliant move by United and Ronaldo. I can't wait so see his next match with Devil's colors.

Just finished the first half of the Burnley/Leeds match. Had a friend who lives in England tell me that the Burnley fans are racist. True? Could explain the boos during the kneeling.

Its a sweeping generalisation that id not want to make wholesale. But Burnley is an a former industrial town that’s largely been in decline since the late 80s. It has higher than average levels of poverty and so has had flirtations at electoral level with far right politicians. Also some tit that supports them flew a plane with an anti-BLM message over one of their matches during lockdown. That said as a club they do great community work aimed at promoting diversity.

Thanks for that information!

Twilight Sad kits are live from Bands FC.

I can’t say I’ve ever listened to the Twilight Sad before. Maybe I should start so I could grab one of these. I don’t think they’ll go as quickly as the Frabbits one

EDIT: I did it. $83 shipped 🥴🥴🥴

Oh by the way remember the Fontaines sponsored Bohemians kit?

It made €12k for a homeless charity in central Dublin! How awesome is that!

This is pretty much an Aberdeen strip from the 80's, so I'm on this. Calling @Skacel!

Edit - purchased as well! Hopefully they do the Mogwai one next. It's already designed, so it just needs to be produced.
