Record cleaning - what's your method?

I second the ⚡⚡ THUNDERON ⚡⚡brush from Sleeve City. Super soft, nice handle and it does reduce static.
I would try one, but dont want to wait 3 months for it to arrive ;)

I have seen some Japanese audiophiles using what looks to be a giant shaving style brush on some very expensive pressings, Interesting.

I mentioned this on another thread but definitely DO NOT get the newest Audioquest Antistatic Brush. I have an older one and it's been great but they've doubled the bristle count and the new one is so stiff and coarse that it's actually scratching the vinyl. I thankfully tested it on a cheap but clean pressing and it's literally squealing as is goes across the record and I can clearly see the brush strokes etched into the record after. It's nuts. I tried loosening it up as much as possible but no dice. Definitely avoid.

This was my issue with the Hunt brush.

The 2 rows of bristles were very short and seemed highly likely to scratch. The pad between just made the TT stop spinning....all while sounding like nails on a chalk board

Yep, same nails sound with the new Audioquest. I recently emailed them and asked them how they expected anyone to use this brush when it's actually etching the vinyl with hundreds of scratches. Their response was, "If it's not working for you then you should return it." YEAH NO SHIT

I thought the same thing of the Hunt brush. It sounded very scratchy to me. I rarely use a brush now but have the Pro-ject brush which is fine. A brush seems like it leaves more particles than it picks up. Since everything is cleaned, I'm more likely to just use a camera lens cleaner to blast off the dust that's landed on the record.

And it looks like a rocket ship, which is pretty cool. You could make pew-pew noises when you squeeze it like you're firing lasers at your record. PEW-PEW!!!

That could just me me though...

Geez, I've been using the Hunt brush for a while now... Haven't noticed any scratching issues, but you've got me scared now lol

My limited medical background makes me think it looks like a enema bottle.

I was able to obtain the Library of Congress recommended Tergitol 15-S-7 for myself through my work, but in a larger quantity than I would have preferred. If anyone is interested in splitting it with me, let me know.

Any of you that use the Christo, have you noticed sediment in the concentrate? I've got 4 bottles, all kept in a cool dark place and all 4 are showing sediment. Maybe it was there before and I didn't notice. But I feel like I would have. Once it's added to water it's hard to spot, perhaps it dissolves, not sure. But just curious if it's a known thing with the standard concentrate.

No issues here, same, 4 bottles, all clear.
