James Brandon Lewis Trio - No Filter
Blur - Parklife

If the James Brandon Lewis had been released this year (rather just than me finding out it was on vinyl this year) then it would be my favourite release of the year. It's absolutely smoking. And a cliché (and not the common choice) but my favourite Blur album - brings back many teenage memories.

Since my order of Meteora from Darkside Records is on the truck for delivery today, I figured I'd also order this set from Amazon to listen to before that arrives.

I haven't listened to this album in its entirety in probably about 20 years. I listened to it a lot when it first came out...then got burned out. I've heard enough random songs off it on SiriusXM to get me through the years.

This is from the smaller of the box sets released last year, just this album, Reanimation remix album, and the new B-Side Rarities compilation.

I cant believe how much the VMP pressing of this is going for on Discogs.... last sold for over £200. Insane.

Sounds really good though. I picked up the OG to go with it at a carboot a while ago for £1, only to find that it also included the 3 Feet High And Rising LP in there, so a great buy for sure. The eagle-eyed might see that this originally cost just £6 from 'Beggars Banquet', which would go on to become Banquet Records.
