How small are we talking. That slot loaded port might make these easier to work with than you'd think.

Floor is about 13' x 11', with sloped ceiling (goes from 10ft to 15ft). But it's my home office so there's a bunch of shelves and a desk so floor space is more like 8' x 9'

Ah, so it sounds like you probably need bookshelf speakers that can actually go on a bookshelf. Thanks for the visual image!

Yea I've got a set of B&W 685 S2's right now, they're great but you know how it is, always looking to make a change haha. Will probably just wait until I move to a place with a more room and finally get some floor speakers and an amp >50w

Hmmm, for $460 I think it's worth pulling the hardware and refinishing them ;)

.........assuming the bid sticks, someone's gonna grab these.

Wow those look nice. I'm not too knowledgeable about impendance beyond the basics, what kind of amp would be needed to drive 12ohm speakers?

I think the usual is to use an 8Ω amplifier. Some people put a 25Ω resister across the terminals to impedance match, but others like the sound better without.
Either way, these speakers are so efficient that only a few watts will blow your ears off.
