Television

I mayyyy have gone through all 375 pages (7,497 posts) in the old tv thread and manually catalogued each show mentioned in a spreadsheet along with the username of each person who said they generally liked the show, were "meh" on the show, or disliked the show (a lot of this is open to my interpretation of the comment). I also may have made a few mistakes or missed a few details. Not sure where to put this but there are 559 shows total.

Not sure if I should clog up the thread by posting the full thing here, so, for now, here are the shows with 15 or more people that generally seemed to enjoy them:

Just finished Farscape for the first time, wish it wasn't bloody cancelled like all good things are but it's absolutely worth the time spent!

So...people don’t like the new season of Game Of Thrones. Guess I’ll find out why soon (now on episode three of season seven). Gotta push through till Sunday night

This is pretty damn amazing. Add me to the Meh column for Atlanta and Westworld. The Yay column for Glow and the Leftovers.

Parks n Rec is STILL my favorite. But The Good Place is the best sitcom currently airing on network television.

@ranbalam - oh phew, just checking you are here. I'm going to pop back in later to catch up about shows.

Add me to yes for The Good Place, Stranger Things, Arrested Development, Barry, + Parks and Rec! And move me to Nay for GoT, cuz...damn.

Also, people should check out Detectorists, because it's lovely.
Is there a GOT thread? I don't want to spoil anything here. I'm starting to agree with you though on the Nay.

Tell me more.....

It is, I guess, a sitcom. Perhaps more of a dramedy. It's written and directed by MacKenzie Crook (Gareth from the British office) and stars him and Toby Jones as a couple of middle-aged metal detecting enthusiasts in small-town Britain. It's run for three series of 6 half-hour episodes each, so it's a pretty quick watch.

It's a really sweet little slice-of-life, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hulu has the whole thing.

I know, I tried. It stressed me out too much. He's a brilliant writer and the show did some really interesting things. I don't actively hate it nor do I begrudge anyone's liking of it. It just isn't for me.

Add me to the 'meh' list for Atlanta as well. I like almost everything else that Glover does but I recently forced myself to do a complete watch of the series (after two other false starts) and I don't find it all that interesting.
