Metal!

This Sunn O)) talk has me enthralled. I haven’t heard it yet. Worth going in blind? I’d be interested to know what your views were on their collaboration with Scott Walker. I’m a Scott fan and found it an interesting record, but I loved Lulu by Lou Reed & Metallica so i’m Not always in tune with the metal populace’s perspective

Relapse just re-released EVERY BONGZILLA ALBUM!!!

The box set is sold out, but honestly I don't really like the variant or the fact that they're all the same. Looks like these ship out immediately too....

If it helps, Sunn O))) has never been a de facto choice for the majority of metal fans, and it's easy to see why. But Life Metal is absolutely worth your time (also so far, half of my posts on this forum has been about this album so that should tell you how much I like it). It's definitely more in line with their previous album Kannon, sort of back to basics, but there's plenty of inspired left-field choices here that stand out and make it shoulder-to-shoulder with their best work.

If you need a brief primer of their discography, please start with Monoliths & Dimensions then work your way backwards. Black One is a truly unsettling album, so fair warning! I still get goosebumps listening to that on headphones.
