Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

This is true, but I'm pretty sure 13th Floor Elevators is the only truly numerical band in my collection, felt dumb just having it before "A" and nothing else.....and to be fair, on the label of "The Psychedelic Sounds..." it spells the bands name out with words not numbers anyway.

Pretty sure Chad told someone that he was gonna repress all of the CCR albums at some point, which is exciting. I really want a reasonably priced copy of their Willie & The Poor Boys and Green River

Not sure why they use the AP logo and tag on that if it is the Craft Miles Showell pressing: https://www.discogs.com/release/13355886-Creedence-Clearwater-Revival-Bayou-Country. deceptive/erroneous marketing Which is not bad but no where near as good as the AP — which fantasy used the Plates on...

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

Won't be Essentials, the Essentials one is a "70s punk album"

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

Could be, we just know it's not London Calling. The Essentials September ROTM is from the 70s so that one is def not Combat Rock. Probably 50/50 whether it's Ramones or Clash too, not 100% Clash

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I put them under the letter the number begins with (13th Floor Elevators go under "T") but I used to do it the other way a while ago (numerals before A). I changed because some number bands are spelled out in word (Nine Inch Nails, Four Tops, Five Iron Frenzy) while others use a number (13th...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Most of the time companies fail because of poor management decisions not because of how well sales and business is going. So it's a hard thing to judge but I don't think sales and business are hurting based on the 20,000 subscribers and the fact that all of their latest blunders have been...

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

Joni is July, DMX is August. Clash was all but confirmed for September, and I think it still is unless they shuffled another rock album to Essentials to replace it.

    Vinyl Me, Please Rock

I think the double month will be DMX more likely than the Clash. But it's all speculation. There are none hinted at being more likely than any other, the only clue given was 2 ROTMs by the same artist in the same month. It's definitely gonna be London Calling though in Essentials in September...

Not too many AAA albums recorded in 2008. This album is fairly new.

I’m curious if the KG remaster is just the same plates they used here or another new remaster: https://www.discogs.com/release/17800651-Violent-Femmes-Violent-Femmes And I wonder if in any case that previous KG is AAA, I bet it is

The thing is, on the 45 RPM versions they cut the opening track into 2 sides and put a fade out/fade in at the end of side A and beginning of side B, which is pretty lame. The 33 version is very exciting because we get Ole not broken in half finally

Yeah that one at 2 LP 45 RPM is gonna sound amazing. I'm set with my 1A original and my VMP copy though.

I've been to Noble records, great little shop. Kinda tucked away off a busy business district road next to a mega-church parking lot, go figure. Very well curated selection of used records. Been following their owner on Youtube and Instagram. They have a Holy Moly wall of rare and hard-to-find...

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Yes. It's very funk/soul leaning besides the Jesus People album which is straight up big gospel choir....and Blue Aquarius which isn't gospel at all — it's more like hippie rock and the spiritual topics are more about Eastern/Maharaji stuff a la George Harrison and not Christian/Gospel. The...

That Hot Buttered Soul one-step is really nice. I still think this one sounds best though: https://www.discogs.com/release/14080549-Isaac-Hayes-Hot-Buttered-Soul Tighter punchier bass guitar, drums are punchy af and the snare really snaps. The high end is more lively. I got it for like $10 a...

That Billie Joe Shaver is one of the best sounding country ROTMs they've ever done. Outstanding. Great songs to boot.

So pumped for Everybody Digs Bill Evans. Gonna have cheaper/tip-on jacket/33 RPM Craft reissues of everything in the AP Bill Evans Riverside box set before you know it. Jackpot is killin' it with their RSD slate. They have really stepped up their game. I wish they would use better jackets but...
