Hey @gouis and @Enoch, if you guys can check your Morby records if you get the chance that would really be appreciated. I am trying to figure out if I want to snag one off of Discogs or just get the standard at this point if the issue seems to be widespread. the problem is right at the end of "Hail Mary" into "Piss River". Thanks!
There’s like maybe a little more crackling than other records but not near enough that I would complain about it (unlike say like the Beach House Devotion issue that I never got around to doing anything about)
yeah, it's not static. here's my issue. it actually goes on much longer but I got a copyright strike from YouTube so shortened it. but like I said, the craziest thing is the seller on Discogs sent me a video of his and it sounded EXACTLY the same!
you know, at this point I am thinking of just getting the blue Dead Oceans bundle since it will cost the same as getting the Yellow off of Discogs and there is security in getting a refund if there are any problems with that one.
I have a Spin Clean, there's definitely a scratch on mine that's causing the issue. that's what's crazy is that the seller on Discogs seemed to have the exact same scratch which is why I am wondering if it is a bigger issue and not just an isolated one
So it does seem I have that problem too, I cleaned that spot again, it improved it but it definitely has a scratch look, the right side is worse than the left, speaker wise. It has to be a production error in a batch of them, no way we all randomly got an issue in the same spot
Also, they should still have replacement stock, unless several people had this issue which I am guessing is the case, might be worth asking them to press that disc
yeah, could be part of the reason they don't have any left in stock. well, I possibly did something very stupid and ordered another one off of Discogs... but at least the seller states they accept returns so hopefully won't be too much of a problem if the new one I get also has this issue.
