That’s nice but it has been a rough few days on here one I am to be blamed for having a part in. Otherwise it has felt good to be on here.

I haven’t noticed the negativity, but that’s because I hang around my own guess thread listening to the incorrect records that people guess. Sorry that you have taken a bump @Enoch

I would say in general A LOT of people are really over VMP. So if you don't want negative feedback keep VMP discussions to VMP threads. This specific issue can be contained in the Anthology thread so just post it there, where people who are interested can see it and people who don't want to don't have to.

@gouis it doesn't give a right for someone to be attacked like that.

No one should be attacked anywhere here. But that doesn't mean people can't be negative or post confrontational things.

I will just leave it at this. Accusing someone of speaking for all of us to a service we use (to use) is different then saying something negative about speaking with said service as a sole person. The former was done and piling on to someone for a misunderstanding is still wack.

Some people seem to be negative about everything around here the last week or so to the point that every time I see a post from them, my immediate first thought is "What are they going to complain about this time?"

The ignore button is your friend in those cases!

Yeah. I haven't done it yet but I might.

This forum wouldn’t be complete without the completist.

In the old place the VMP info/news section always seemed to get toxic pretty quickly, and it kind of seems to be the same here as well. What’s Spinning/Fresh Frabs/Cute Aminal Thread/Old Pictures threads for the win!

I read the interaction in question, and if I may, my observation was that any disagreement was around the framing of “the” feedback as opposed to “my” feedback or “my feedback and what others asked me to share.” It’s a small distinction, but intent can be difficult to discern in a profile post. Just my 2 cents.

Also, if one person’s post count is going to account for 4% of all the posts in the forum, we need to be prepared that they won’t all be thoughtfully composed gems, and some of them may be met with vigorous disagreement. (2/3)

We’ve all been hitting the “post comment” button pretty hard lately; maybe it’s okay to not provide input to everything, all the time (it’s gonna seem like I’m subtweeting @Enoch there, but that goes for me too). (3/3)

I agree with @Indymisanthrope, plus posting in two places with "I don't know if you saw my post over here, but..." frames it as a group announcement rather than sharing a personal experience. I love you, Enoch, and I care about your feelings, but I also thought it came across as speaking on behalf of more than just yourself.

People can certainly be gentler in their disagreements, but we also shouldn't be surprised when a scab we keep picking at continues to bleed.

I’m focusing on your first point not your second @GritNGlitter. Our culture here is still being formed (in many ways we are running before we can walk), and while I’m never one to stifle disagreements I’m not a fan of the pile-on, and it did feel a bit like that. I think we’re better than that as a group, and we need to hold onto that as much as we can.

I’m sorry, Enoch, if I said anything that you took personally. I thought I was being helpful but I can see how it would’ve been better had I not chimed in at all. Sorry. You bring a lot here, dude. I appreciate you.
